When Collis replaced their sports kits last year the old sports kits were looking for a new home. It was decided to donate them to a village on Likoma Island in Malawi. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. About 65% of the population live below the poverty line and only 53% of children attend primary school. Sport is a vital part of the children's lives. The kits were given to a man called Darlington (the one in the yellow top), who is football mad and runs a youth football team in his village of Makengulu. The team is bizarrely called Blackpool! They were incredibly grateful and couldn't believe the generosity of Collis School.
