The children in Reception were thrilled to have a visit from our local fireman as part of their topic, ‘People who help us’. They were all given an opportunity to spray the hoses and sit in the fire engine. They were given lots of information about what to do in the event of a fire and were able to ask lots of questions too.
We have encouraged all of the children to learn their home addresses by heart, should they ever need to remember them and so it would be wonderful if you could practise this at home too.
It was a wonderful visit and the children had a wonderful time!
