Music and Dance Firebird Project June 2014
In association with Richmond Music Trust, Hounslow Music Service, The Royal Ballet School, The Philharmonia Orchestra and Boundless Dance Company, 31 children from Year 5 plus the School Orchestra came together with other schools in the Borough at St Mary's University. They showcased dance and music to the theme of Stravinsky's Firebird. Over the course of the evening, around 350 children performed their own choreographed dances and the 250 strong orchestra (from schools and orchestras in the Borough) played an array of musical pieces to a wonderful audience. The finale saw a 'first' with all the dancers and orchestra performing together to 'The Firebird'.
