Year 2 visit to the Science Museum

All of Year 2 went to the Science Museum in London as part of our 'Space' topic. We were lucky enough to see huge rockets, The Eagle, space suits and even try on some gloves which the astronauts wear in space. We also took part in a workshop called 'Destination Space' and learnt about what daily life is like on board the International Space Station. We were able to see how water is filtered, how astronauts sleep on the ISS with no gravity and even how space suits are made. After that, we watched a film about landing on the moon and the seats shook to simulate landing and take off. All of year 2 thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it has really helped us to understand more about space!
