We hope you enjoy exploring our new school website, which is updated regularly with news and information for our community. It is my pleasure, as Headteacher, to introduce Collis to you as I enter my 12th year leading the school.

At Collis, our aim is simple: to provide a high-quality education for all the children we serve.

Collis is a friendly and very successful school at the heart of the Teddington community. We have a strong reputation for leading the way in educational development, and we pride ourselves on the high standard of teaching throughout the school. Our outcomes in reading, writing and maths are consistently well above average year-on-year.

We are proud to have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted since 2008, with our most recent inspection, in April 2025, judging the school to be Outstanding in all areas. However, we retain a relentless drive for improvement, excellence and equality.

Our five Cs are central to our school community: Care, Courage, Collaboration, Challenge and Creativity. We aim high for every pupil. Reading and a language-rich environment are fundamental to our curriculum, and our teaching and learning focus on children enjoying their learning and achieving more, more quickly and securely. We have a strong behaviour-for-learning culture.

We use evidence-based research and best practice to inform our teaching, including work on memory, recall, assessment for learning (AfL), consistent routines and a knowledge-rich curriculum, so that all pupils achieve well. We provide a safe, fun environment with high expectations for all children.

We also run our own breakfast provision and after-school clubs, known as CATS, which offer a high number of places for Collis pupils and provide excellent support for children and working families.
