Let’s Run for Fun

Friday 6th July from 2.30pm !

Come along and support your children for this sponsored fun run. There will be a delicious BBQ, some refreshing drinks, a tombola and much more!

What a fantastic way to start the weekend!

Come and join us at the first ever Collis Rainbow Run on Friday 6th July! This event is a key fundraiser for the school, so we need your help to make the event a success and raise as much money as we can.

How can I help! The event cannot run without volunteers. We have allocated a role to each year group and you should have received a link to a Doodle poll via your class reps - if not, do get in touch with them.  Please do not exceed the maximum number of participants per slot.

How do I register my child? Please confirm with your class reps, by Monday 18th June, whether your child will be taking part in the run or not.

What are the timings on the day?

  • 2.30pm-3.30pm: Nursery and Reception to run (children who attend the morning nursery session are welcome to come back at 2.30pm to run)

  • 3.30pm-4.30pm: Yr1 and above to run

  • 3.00pm-6.00pm: BBQ, ice creams, bar and pint pot tombola

Can I run with my child? Yes (but you don’t have to!).

Do I have to pick up my child as usual? Yes.

Is the paint safe and will it come out of clothes? The colour dust is made of cornflour and, whilst it shouldn’t stain, we cannot guarantee this. It is safe for children and the environment.

How long do the children have to run for? Children can run as many laps as they want to. They will get a coloured wristband for each lap.

How will the event raise money for the school? Building on the success of the Bounceathon, the Rainbow Run will be a sponsored event - sponsorship forms will come home in book bags next week. The stalls such as BBQ, bar and pint pot tombola also raise money for the school, so please do stay around after the race!

If you have any queries or wish to volunteer, do get in touch with your class reps. Thank you for your support.

Urgent - We’re looking for an advertising coordinator

Raise money for the CSA by selling advertising space in our brochures and flyers.

The role involves:

  • contacting existing and potential local advertisers before each major school event (usually Christmas and summer);

  • sourcing new potential advertisers;

  • managing the small database and liaising with the CSA organisers and brochure designer.

    All you need is an email, a phone, basic Excel skills and to be available a few hours a week (between 2 and 5) for the 2 months running up to each event.

    For more information, contact Cecile at cecile.arbus@icloud.com

Thank you for your support!
