Literature Lists

Thanks to the funding of the CSA, we are able to continue to purchase new quality texts to fill our book corners and guide our teaching. These lists define a canon of literature that we believe it is important for all pupils to be exposed to here at Collis. We believe it is crucial that children experience modern and classic texts, picture and written texts, fiction and non-fiction, texts that model and celebrate diversity and texts that confront key themes. Children explore these texts in each year group through their independent reading, Guided Reading, story time, English units of work and across the wider curriculum. We would love parents to join us on this journey so please explore the lists, request these texts from your local library and tell us about any of your additional contributions children's reading repertoires.
