The Mission of the Parent Focus Group is:
To act as a focused sounding board for future ideas and events and to give constructive feedback.
The Objectives are:
a. To work in a positive partnership with the school.
b. To increase parental involvement and be another 'voice' of parents.
c. To improve the learning experience of our children in school.
d. To help communicate issues to parents.
What is the Parent Focus Group?
The PFG is an additional body that represents the parent voice within the school. The group has been running for a several years now and meets each half term. The meetings are chaired by Mr Hogston with parent members representing each year group. Members from the Governing Board and the CSA committee also join the meeting. For transparency, a full list of members and minutes will be available on the school website. The main purpose of the group is to provide constructive feedback to the school while acting as a ‘sounding board’ for future decisions on school policy. Although the group does not decide school policy it will be consulted and listened to so the school has a range of views and feedback before making any policy decisions.
What sort of things will be discussed at the meeting?
There will be an open agenda. Topics have included school meals, fund raising, CATS and Clubs, E-safety, OFSTED. The minutes of all previous meetings can be found below.
