Collis School welcomes parents or carers into school during the working day, to help in a variety of ways.
Some parents have a specific talent or skill which they are able to share, whilst others assist with more general activities.
All help is greatly valued and enables us to provide an enriched curriculum for the children. Help may include support with cooking, reading, library skills or accompanying educational visits. The possibilities are endless!
“Spending a day with my daughter in Reception was great fun. I think I enjoyed it more than she did!”
- A Collis Parent
A request for parental help is made by staff at the beginning of the year, or for more specific events such as school trips as they happen.
All adult helpers need to be DBS checked. Please contact the School Office for information on how to get involved and make a DBS online application.
